First of all, you need to set up the cheat engine. For this, you need to follow the steps below
- In the first step, you need to download and install the cheat engine program
- As an alternative, you can also download the adware free portable version from the same page, extract the rar file along with your achiever and then launch the cheat engine
- Once done, in the web browser you need to open the flash game
- Then in the cheat engine, you need to click on the flashing open process button
- Now on the necessary process in the list hit and click on the open button. The process that is being used by the cheat engine in order to monitor will differ as it will depend upon which kind of browser you are using.

Now the internet explorer is going to create for itself 2 processes and at times they are 3 as well. You need to select the lowest process available on the list. If you are having 3 iexplore.exe processes, then you can try the second one if the bottom one is not working.
Hacking Flash Games in Mozilla Firefox
The Firefox is used to load the flash player into an external plug-in container process along with recent versions of flash also spawn two FlashPlayerPlugin_{version}.exe processes. You need to open the lowest FlashPlayerPlugin.exe process.

How to Hack Flash Games in Google Chrome
As Google Chrome can open many processes for extensions and tabs therefor it gets trickier to identify which one is needed to open in the cheat engine. If you want to find out then:
- You need to press the Shift + Escape button in Google chrome to open its task manager
- One do you need to find the task for the shockwave flash plug-in and note down its ID process
- This ID needs to be converted in the form of Hex so that it can be identified easily in the cheat engine. For this, you can either use the online decimal to hex converter where you simply type the ID and press the button to get the hex value or you can use the windows calculator there from the accessories and convert it into hex
- As you are done with it you need to go back to the cheat engine and find the chrome process that matched with your hex value. Like in the example above 3852 has been converted to F0C so the process is likely to be selected.
Hacking Flash Browser Games with Inspect Element
Now we are going to hack some flash games for you, to show how easily it can be done. Keep in mind that not every game shall work and not all are easy, but things will get easier as you will search for them. The first flash game that we have is the steampunk tower defense. It is a classic tower defense type game. Follow the steps below
- Now when you begin with the game you need to purchase some defenses to go into the tower. You also have 11000 credits to begin with and the ability to get 4 different guns. To buy something you need to click on the blue button
- After this, you need to go into the cheat engine and in the value box enter 11000, and hit enter. You shall see some address values being popped up on the left side that is all the 11000 values in the game’s memory.
- Now you need to go back to the game and buy guns like the machine gun. You will notice that your credits are now at 4000. In the cheat engine, the value is also changed to 4000. We can assume that this is the value that holds the credit amount as it the only value to do so.
- To edit the value you need to click right on 4000 and select “change value of selected addresses”. You need to enter a higher number in the popup box like 400000 and hit the enter button. In the game, your credits shall also rise to this

Hacking Flash Games with Cheat Engine: Finding the right values
If you have less money or are trying to cheat with bullets or lives then it becomes a bit tricky. It will have thousands of values like 20 bullets, 5 lives and need to be filtered out. For this, we have taken an example of the game Bounzy 2. In this, we are going to increase the bullet count. As an initial, we begin with 9 bullets.
- First of all you in the cheat engine you need to click on the new scan button. Then enter the value 9 into the box and hit the enter button. Now look above the address box on the left side and you will see thousands of fond values for 9.
- Now go back to the make, fire a bullet and reduce the bullet value to 8. Do the same in the cheat engine and press the next scan button. You shall be down to a few addresses in the box. Now fire another shot and do the next scan search again for 7, now the found addresses will be down to 1. For this, you need to narrow the found value down by entering into the game and changing the value. Then search in the cheat engine. You will eventually end up with a few entries.
- Now you need to click right on the address value in the cheat engine, select for “change value of selected addresses” and change it to 50. Now when you will fire the bullet it will jump to 50. The same can be done with grenades and rockets.
- The option to freeze the value comes within the cheat engine. If you want to keep the value of bullets at 50 then it can be locked. For this, you need to double click on the address value there on the left side which will enter it into the list at the bottom. For each value, you want to freeze you need to place an X in the active column.

Tips for Finding the right Cheat Engine values to change
If there is a problem to find a number like monetary value. Then some of the flash games need a slight modification in the values you enter. Whatever you are looking for has to multiply by 8.
The game we are going to discuss is swords and scandals 3. The game begins with 5 skill points but the value there in the address for those points is multiplied by 8. If you enter 320 values in the cheat engine then it will increase it to 40 points.
In addition to search for the exact value, the cheat engine is also able to perform conditional searchers by clicking on the scan type dropdown. You can search for different values greater, smaller and even between 2 values. With such combinations being more advanced filtering can be applied that must narrow the results down and get the correct addresses and values.
