Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst in Bridgeville, PA. Summary: The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a key role in protecting and monitoring security operations for our SIEM and MEDR customers. This position is part of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and focuses on analyzing security events and providing Tier 1 investigation support. The analyst will collaborate closely with the SOC Manager, peer analysts, engineers, and teams across the organization to enhance security monitoring and response capabilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and contribute to all security services
- Conduct technical security analysis and provide support to customers
- Perform security investigations with accuracy and consistency, following established processes, procedures, and industry standards
- Assess customer security needs by analyzing business strategies, security standards, and technical platforms while identifying potential integration challenges
- Maintain detailed security documentation, including runbooks, network diagrams, and process/escalation workflows
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams, external partners, and industry professionals
- Develop and implement action plans to mitigate security risks effectively while optimizing existing resources
- Align with the organization’s vision, core values, and strategic objectives
- Handle additional tasks as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
- Industry-recognized security certifications (e.g., CompTIA, ISC2, ISACA, SANS) are preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in cybersecurity, including alert analysis and response from SIEM and EDR platforms
- Hands-on experience in incident response, threat hunting, investigations, or security infrastructure management
- Experience in managing security technology implementations and delivering on-time projects
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and controls, with the ability to consult on and implement solutions
- Familiarity with operating systems including Windows, RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu Linux, and macOS
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfort interacting with various levels within customer organizations
- Self-discipline to work remotely while maintaining high productivity
- Must be proactive and capable of making sound judgments while aligning with team and company goals
- Dedicated to delivering high-quality security solutions and support
- Ability to evaluate and address security challenges from multiple perspectives while considering business impact
- Ability to communicate complex security issues effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to clearly convey security concerns and solutions to internal teams and external clients
- Background in Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) environments is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range.
